Ultrasound breast is usually taken to detect breast diseases without any fear of x-ray radiation to our body.

Screening sonomammogram can be done on all women more than 35 yrs with a positive family history of breast cancer.

It can be done for women presenting with a lump in the breast, breast pain (mastalgia), nipple discharge, and follow-up after breast surgeries.

It can also be done for even male patients presenting with abnormal enlargement of the breast or with breast lump.

This scan helps to take FNAC/BIOPSY from the detected breast lesions.
